Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Interpret project specifications and plans to effectively execute the project.
  • Assists in projecting needs for equipment, materials, and misc. supplies.
    • Ensure the jobsite has the required materials and equipment for the crews.
    • Review job hazard assessments with the Estimator/PM
  • Provide feedback regarding the project status.  Assist Estimators and/or Project Management in the development, monitoring and/or maintenance of project schedules and communicate schedule delays, slippages, changes etc. that may impact project success.
  • Escalate any concerns for issue resolution.  Implement the appropriate corrective actions as identified by the project team.

Site Management

  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate and manage safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify and escalate concerns to operations and project management for issue resolution.
  • Direct, supervise and mentor field personnel to complete projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and company policies.
  • Assists in determining work procedures, work schedules and opportunities for improved productivity.
    • Manage clients, subcontractors, and project management team to achieve project goals.
    • Ensure completion of daily reporting, safety pre-task plans and site safety meetings.
    • Management of site activities and site safety in accordance with company policies and client expectations
    • Ensure good customer relationships while onsite.

Management

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback for direct reports.  Ensure evaluations are completely in a timely manner.
  • Identify skill gaps and areas of development and determine options for skill improvement.

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of Machine Repair experience 
  • Ability to be onsite 75% of the time with a mix of in-town and out of town projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate project activities.

Strong communication and organization skills

  • OSHA 30
  • The ability to read and understand drawings, building blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead others
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Be able to manage time well.
  • Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height. 
  • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
  • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
