Field Maintenance Technician


Location: Springfield, MO (serving the Greater Springfield area)

Job Type: Full-time (W-2)


Cronkhite Property Management is hiring a Field Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of single-family and multi-family rental homes throughout the Greater Springfield area.


This role is ideal for someone who can diagnose and resolve residential maintenance issues efficiently while working independently.


A company vehicle is provided. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call and weekend availability for emergency maintenance


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and complete maintenance requests using our property management system
  • Troubleshoot residential systems (plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, etc.)
  • Prepare vacant units for new tenants (clean, functional, move-in ready)
  • Conduct move-out inspections and document charges
  • Coordinate upkeep for vacant properties (landscaping, minor exterior work)
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders and repairs
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, team members, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Experience with general home maintenance or handyman work preferred
  • Knowledge of residential systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
  • Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and work order systems
