Letโ€™s talk about the role:ย 

As an Environmental Field Inspector, you will work with a team of experts to provide a comprehensive assessment of our client's properties by collecting property data on via our mobile app and uploading to cloud-based software. During the inspection, you will perform environmental sampling to verify or dismiss the presence of indoor environmental pathogens such as mold, VOCs, mycotoxins, etc.ย 
This is not a remediation role. This is a diagnostic, investigative, and documentation-driven position requiring technical rigor, precision, and professionalism.

Acting as a beacon of hope for our clientsโ€”many of whom are hypersensitive and depend on our understanding of the mold-to-health connectionโ€”our inspectors are committed to caring for everyone they encounter and delivering exceptional service.
Work Structure & Travel:

  • This is a remote position with extensive travel
  • Travel will be required up to 90% of the time, or up to 4 days per week
  • Mix of regionalย inspections and nationwide assignments
  • Inspectors generally complete 13โ€“15 onsite inspections per month
  • Travel is centrally coordinated by We Inspect to maximize efficiency


You Willโ€ฆ

  • Travel to the homeowner or rental properties throughout the country to conduct inspections that meet the needs of the clientย 
  • Collect property data on mobile devices and upload to cloud-based software using a defined processย 
  • Collect environmental samples from properties, package and send to laboratories for further analysis, as neededย 
  • Collaborate closely with a team of experts, including a Lead Consultant who provides guidance pre-inspection and a Lead Inspector who supports you throughout the inspection process
  • Engage in continuous learning to be a leading industry expert and provide knowledgeable solutions for our clientsย 

You Haveโ€ฆย

  • Reliable transportation for onsite visits to client's homes
  • Abilityย to travel without restriction within the USย ย 
  • A valid license to drive rental vehiclesย 
  • Ability to travel 3-4 days a week with overnight stays requiredย 
  • Bachelor's in Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences or a related field, a plus
  • 2+ years experience in mold remediation, water restoration, lead/asbestos abatement, HVAC contracting or construction or comparable industry/role, a plusย

Physical Demandsย 

  • Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionallyย 
  • Ability to stoop, crawl and maneuver in small spaces such as under a house or in an attic
  • Must wear required PPE during onsite inspections
  • Must be comfortable climbing ladders
  • 8+ hours of work being on your feet during inspection days

Compensation and Benefits

  • Note: This an Hourly, exempt position
  • Yearly expected earnings areย $55-65k annuallyย
