About Matrix Basement Finishing
Matrix Basement Finishing is one of the fastest-growing basement remodeling companies in the Midwest, nationally recognized for craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. As we expand into the Madison market, we are seeking a Field Manager to lead day-to-day construction operations, ensure quality execution, and serve as the primary on-site leader for our projects.
This role is critical to maintaining Matrix standards while scaling a new territory.
JOB SUMMARY:
Matrix Basement Finishing is seeking an experienced Field Manager to support the launch and growth of our Madison, WI market. This role is responsible for overseeing residential basement remodeling projects, managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, maintaining schedules, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Field Manager serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating between sales, design, production, and homeowners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage multiple residential basement remodeling projects simultaneously
• Oversee daily jobsite operations from pre-construction through completion
• Conduct pre-construction meetings and jobsite walk-throughs
• Ensure projects are built according to plans, specifications, and local building codes
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors (framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, HVAC, etc.)
• Enforce Matrix standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness
• Maintain project schedules and ensure on-time completion
• Perform quality control inspections at each phase of construction
• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction
• Provide regular project updates and resolve customer concerns
• Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to jobsite safety standards
• Manage permits, inspections, and documentation as required
• Document job progress, punch lists, and close-out items
• Utilize company systems and tools to track project status
• Collaborate with sales, design, and leadership teams
• Assist in establishing field operations and processes for the Madison market
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills
  • 3-5 years of field experience in Construction is REQUIRED
  • Communicating with both customers and business partners effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

• Base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience
