Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently recruiting for an Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our team. This is a tremendous opportunity for experienced candidates to join and contribute to the growth of a 100% employee-owned engineering firm. Salary commensurate with experience.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in environmental due diligence and remediation. This position requires a bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or a related field. The role will involve a mix of field and office responsibilities, including sample collection and analysis, report preparation, proposal development, and project coordination.

Location: Southborough, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field sampling activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling as per project requirements and regulatory guidelines;
  • Conduct environmental due diligence assessments including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments;
  • Analyze and interpret field data, laboratory results, and historical information to support the preparation of technical reports;
  • Prepare accurate and concise technical reports adhering to established guidelines; and
  • Stay up to date with current regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field;
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; and
  • Professional certifications a plus.
