Position SummaryThe Field Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of construction and installation activities on assigned projects. This position serves as a liaison between project management, field supervision, subcontractors, customers, and engineering teams to help ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.The Field Engineer assists with project controls, quality assurance, field measurements, drawing reviews, material coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution while supporting successful project execution from mobilization through project closeout.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport construction and installation activities on assigned projects while helping ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project requirements.Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, customers, and vendors to support project execution.Monitor project progress and communicate field issues that may impact safety, quality, cost, or schedule.Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and other project documents to support field operations.Assist with project planning, site logistics, manpower coordination, material readiness, and mobilization activities.Perform field measurements, verify dimensions, and ensure installations comply with project requirements.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including field reports, RFIs, inspections, punch lists, turnover packages, and as-built records.Support quality assurance and quality control activities, inspections, testing, and corrective action efforts.Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, tools, and project resources to support efficient field operations.Maintain organized project records and assist with project reporting, cost tracking, and productivity monitoring.Promote compliance with company, customer, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.Participate in project meetings, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.Travel to project sites as required and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.Equivalent construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Two to five years of construction, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or field engineering experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and project controls.Familiarity with QA/QC processes and construction documentation.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.Ability to work in fast-paced construction and industrial environments.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in active construction and industrial environments.Ability to walk project sites, climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and traverse uneven terrain.Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to travel and work extended hours as project demands require.
