Description
We are looking for a hands-on and customer-savvy Field Engineer to be the ambassador of our technology in the field. This role is the critical link between our powerful Caron Engineering solutions and OnTakt software and the customers who rely on them. You will own the end-to-end integration process, ensuring that every installation is not just functional, but perfectly aligned with customer needs and specifications. If you find satisfaction in a flawless system install, have a strong aptitude for solving complex mechanical and electrical puzzles, and excel at empowering users through technology, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Installation Planning
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and scheduling with customers.
  • Identify and order necessary components, tools, and hardware.
  • Document installation planning activities in Jira.
  • Ensure all preparatory documentation is ready before installation.

2. Installation Execution
  • Develop and communicate a clear field plan.
  • Install and test systems to ensure functionality and compliance within specifications.
  • Conduct user training sessions tailored to customer needs.

3. Post-Installation Documentation
  • Create detailed backups of ladder logic, system configurations, wiring diagrams, and programs.
  • Compile photos and notes from the installation.
  • Update and archive documentation for internal and customer reference.

4. Customer Support
  • Respond to customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Document and track customer support activities in Jira.
  • Maintain accurate records of support interactions for troubleshooting and quality improvement.

5. Internal Technology Support
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing technologies used within company facilities.
  • Provide internal training sessions and documentation for staff utilizing these systems.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of internal manufacturing technologies.
  • Keep an eye on Support Channel.

6. Continuous Improvement
• Identify and working towards improving our preparation and execution processes and environment.
Travel Requirement: This role does require a willingness and ability to travel frequently. Averaging 50% Travel. With busy seasons, expect up to 75%
