Job Summary

Inspects and directs contractor work associated with main and service installations restorations or general maintenance. Maintains accurate records and drawings as required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Using construction design specifications, inspects and directs outside underground contractor work of gas mains and services and or project restoration work to ensure that they are installed in accordance with all company and industry standards
  • Prepares all documents of construction such as daily progress report, all work tickets and drawing of projects
  • Responsible for all safety on the job site and in the public way while working and also at the close of the workday
  • Performs physical work including walking distances, using tapelines, measuring wheels and basic survey equipment such as a construction level
  • Communicates verbally and in writing to shop personnel, contractors and construction management to ensure operational success. Performs work functionally in Excel, Word, Microsoft Project and other "Expert Systems" used in the construction process
  • Communicates and works with customers, builders / developers and contractors in determining the locations of new gas facilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • H.S Diploma, HSED, or GED is required
  • 1 year of staging projects, or assigning and completing tasks as part of a project team
  • 3 years of using standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • 3 year of Interpretation and application of construction design specifications
  • Sr. Field Coordinator:  In addition to the above will also require - 1 year of utilization of Gas Operations computer systems, and 3 years of operating, maintaining or installing gas or utility systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree is Preferred
  • Basic understanding of building construction drawings/building design
  • Experience in construction or restoration

Pay Range Minimum:  $28.61 

Pay Range Maximum:  $56.76 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
