Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Field Sales Specialist Associate for an assigned territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent Cavalier Distributing Florida and our portfolio in the dynamic Florida market. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, outgoing personality, professional demeanor, and a willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with retail partners to ensure effective merchandising, reset completions, and promotion of our products.
  • Merchandising: Execute delivery receipt and merchandising/restocking of products within assigned accounts. Restock, merchandise, and build displays to Cavalier's standards.
  • Route sales: Execute and close sales with retail decision makers for assigned routes.
  • Monitor individual store inventory levels, upsell incremental inventory as assigned, as well as assist with restocking.
  • Ensure proper retail pricing, signage, and merchandising strategies to optimize product visibility.
  • Responsible for appropriate placement and effective utilization of point-of-sale material.
  • Sell and maintain incremental displays with proper pricing and merchandising, as assigned.
  • Follow company standards for freshness and quality control.
  • Communicate daily/weekly/monthly account activities to appropriate parties through pre-plans and account/market recaps.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal Cavalier teammates.
  • Conduct product tastings and demonstrations to promote brand awareness.
  • Provide product knowledge training to retail staff.
  • Represent Cavalier Distributing Florida standards every day in the market, at industry events and trade shows as required.

Requirements

Type of person we are looking for:

  • Candidates must be energetic, competitive, and passionate about a career in sales.
  • Previous experience with outside field sales, preferably in the craft beer industry with a wholesaler or brewery supplier.
  • People who can work autonomously and be self-motivated.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in account sales management, merchandising, retail sales, or other experience with consumer-packaged goods.
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite with the ability to utilize company-issued technology.
  • Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to pass a post-offer background check.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license, and maintain auto insurance coverage of at least the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.
