Job description

TITLE: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, Entry-level or recent grads encouraged to apply!
LOCATION: Des Plaines clinic
SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$85,000 per year
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
At IABA, BCBAs do what they were trained to do - practice the science. As a BCBA-owned small business, we believe in quality over quotas: no minimum therapy hours, no corporate cookie-cutter treatment plans. Just a passionate, close-knit team committed to meaningful outcomes for our learners.
You'll lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized interventions across both in-home and clinic settings. We trust our BCBAs to build their own schedules and work from home for indirect hours - because autonomy and work-life balance matter here. If you're energized by single-subject design, precision teaching, and making a real difference, we'd love to meet you.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Complete intakes for new clients and conduct functional behavior assessments to establish meaningful objectives and goals
  • Administer behavioral, language, play, and skill-based assessments
  • Design, supervise, and analyze treatment plans grounded in applied behavior analysis and precision teaching
  • Supervise, evaluate, and mentor staff to ensure high-quality, consistent treatment plan implementation
  • Overlap client sessions semi-monthly to support fidelity and staff development
  • Partner with parents and guardians through monthly family meetings to support skill generalization across home and clinic environments
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Maintain a flexible schedule responsive to client needs, while meeting a monthly service aim of 120 hours

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Professional, polished representation of the agency at all times
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable work ethic with consistent follow-through on scheduling commitments
  • Solid assessment and treatment planning skills
  • 1+ year of clinical experience with children with developmental disabilities or autism (such as RBT experience, BCBA experience, Program Manager experience, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Precision Teaching or Natural Environment Teaching (NET) background preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active BCBA national certification (required)
  • NPI number, CAQH profile, and Illinois State Licensure
  • Must pass a background check
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred; QBS Safety-Care training provided

TRAVEL
  • Services split between in-home, clinic, and remote settings; travel up to 30 minutes one way within your region
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required

REPORTING
  • Reports to Clinical Supervisor or Senior BCBA
