Fidelity Accounting information

What is fidelity accounting?

Fidelity accounting refers to the specialized practice of tracking, recording, and safeguarding assets, typically within trust or fiduciary accounts, to ensure that all financial transactions comply with legal and ethical standards. It is commonly used by fiduciaries such as trustees, executors, and guardians to provide transparent records of how they manage someone else's assets. This process involves meticulous documentation, regular reporting, and adherence to both regulatory requirements and the specific terms of the trust or fiduciary arrangement. The goal is to protect the interests of beneficiaries and maintain accountability.

What are some of the common challenges faced by professionals in fidelity accounting roles?

Professionals in Fidelity Accounting often encounter challenges such as managing complex reconciliation processes, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. They may also need to adapt to frequent changes in financial regulations and internal policies, which requires ongoing learning and flexibility. Collaboration with audit teams and other departments is key, as is strong attention to detail when handling sensitive financial data. These challenges are balanced by opportunities to develop expertise in risk management and to advance within the broader financial services sector.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in fidelity accounting, and why are they important?

To excel in Fidelity Accounting, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, often supported by a degree in accounting or finance and relevant certifications like CPA. Familiarity with accounting software, financial reporting systems, and reconciliation tools such as SAP or Oracle is commonly required. Strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and clear communication help professionals manage complex transactions and collaborate with stakeholders. These skills are vital for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting organizational integrity.

What is the difference between Fidelity Accounting vs Bookkeeper?

Fidelity Accounting professionals typically hold accounting credentials and work in corporate or financial environments, focusing on financial reporting and compliance. Bookkeepers usually have less formal education, working in small businesses or remote settings, primarily recording daily transactions. While both roles handle financial data, Fidelity Accounting involves more complex analysis and regulatory tasks compared to the transactional focus of bookkeepers.

Job description

FinQuery stands at the forefront of accounting automation, driven by a deep specialty in contract-driven accounting. Our AI-enabled platform transforms how controllers and finance teams operate, seamlessly managing and accounting for the complex financial contracts-like leases, prepaids, and accruals-that are the backbone of modern business. We are not just a software provider; we are the unified subledger that eliminates time-intensive, error-prone technical accounting workflows, ensuring financial reports are accurate and empowering our customers to focus on strategic, high-value tasks.

FinQuery is the global leader in lease accounting (as recognized on G2.com) and serve more than 8,500 customers worldwide. Our growth trajectory has been consistently validated by the Inc 5000, which has recognized us as one of the fastest-growing private companies for five consecutive years.

The Senior UI/UX Designer leads the strategic evolution of the user experience by creating intuitive, research-driven design solutions across the FinQuery product ecosystem. This role ensures that every digital touchpoint aligns with business objectives while advocating for the end-user through high-fidelity prototyping and visual storytelling. The Senior UI/UX Designer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to maintain design consistency and elevate the brand's aesthetic standards.
How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Translates ambiguous, high-stakes business requirements and multi-dimensional user data into scalable design solutions, including architectural user flows and high-fidelity prototypes that resolve complex logic across the product ecosystem

  • Architects and governs the global design system, establishing the standards and documentation required to ensure visual and functional integrity across all current and future product modules

  • Strategizes and leads comprehensive user research and usability testing initiatives, synthesizing empirical evidence to pivot design direction and influence the broader product roadmap

  • Evaluates diverse data sets and identifiable factors to solve design challenges of broad scope, demonstrating expert judgment in selecting methodologies that best balance user needs with technical constraints

  • Navigates complex stakeholder environments by presenting high-level design visions and strategic prototypes to executive leadership while using advanced negotiation and persuasion skills to secure buy-in for initiatives of organizational significance

  • Serves as a primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering, ensuring technical feasibility while advocating for design intent through the entire development lifecycle

  • Champions accessibility and inclusive design standards globally, ensuring the platform remains industry-leading and usable for all customer segments

  • Acts with a high degree of autonomy, requiring minimal instruction on day-to-day work and demonstrating a seasoned professional mindset in managing new, high-complexity assignments

  • Networks with senior internal and external experts to stay ahead of industry trends and integrate best-in-class design thinking into the organization

  • Conducts all business in accordance with FinQuery policies and procedures

The Expertise You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Graphic Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)

  • Typically requires 3 to 7 years of related experience in a similar role

  • Expert ability to build, maintain, and scale global component libraries that ensure product-wide consistency

  • Mastery in organizing complex data and multi-step workflows into logical, intuitive structures

  • Capability to create sophisticated, interactive mockups that accurately simulate the final user experience for testing and executive review

  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading user interviews, usability testing, and field studies to uncover deep user needs

  • Proven skill in turning complex user data, heatmaps, and analytics into clear, actionable design solutions

  • Strong problem-solving judgment to select optimal methodologies based on user needs, time constraints, and technical limits

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to bridge technical and non-technical teams and ensure accurate design execution

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and transform vague business ideas into concrete, functional design plans with minimal supervision

  • Effective project management skills with the ability to handle personal timelines and priorities across multiple high-priority initiatives

  • Aptitude for providing mentorship and guidance to elevate the work of junior team members
