Fiber Cable Technician | Join LMG's Engineering Team
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Full Time
Company: LMG
Pay: $19.75 - $23.80/hr
LMG is looking for a detail oriented Fiber Cable Technician to support the quality and reliability of our Broadcast Tactical Fiber cable inventory. This role is critical to ensuring all fiber cables meet industry and LMG standards, helping support live events, broadcast, and production operations across all departments.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Test and clean fiber cables using defined industry and LMG standards
✅ Inspect cable inventory to ensure connectors are secure and functional
✅ Verify all test equipment is within calibration specifications and up to date
✅ Coordinate with Engineering when test equipment requires manufacturer service
✅ Perform minor fiber cable repairs as needed
✅ Inspect and replace loose or missing connector caps to protect fiber ends
✅ Maintain proper wrapping, labeling, and badging of all fiber inventory
✅ Conduct cycle counts of connector caps and cleaning supplies
✅ Notify management of low stock on materials and supplies
✅ Red tag any cable or equipment that does not meet prep standards
✅ Ensure rental product is stored in approved and organized locations
✅ Return all tools and supplies to proper storage at the end of each shift
✅ Clean and sanitize workstation and common areas daily
✅ Support general warehouse operations including assisting visitors and returns
What We're Looking For
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of AV equipment
Wiring and cable experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
Flexible and adaptable team player
