Job description

As an Aerial Foreman, you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Responsibilities

As an Aerial Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.  

In addition, you will: 

  • Install and/or repair aerial CATV, coaxial, and fiber cable
  • Place, relocate, remove poles, lines, open-wire, drop and block wire in order to maintain efficient operation of the customers’ facilities
  • Set up a safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers 
  • Review project plans, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure the project is built according to the approved design specifications 
  • Direct the activities on the job site
  • Properly fill out necessary documentation, record time for the crew, etc.
  • Communicate with the Area Supervisor or Manager
  • Act as the lead for in-house crews
  • Oversee daily schedules, delivery schedules, and daily productivity of the Aerial crew

  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are comfortable working in a bucket truck and climbing poles
  • You have knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely
  • You have a strong knowledge of CATV building practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment
  • You have OSHA 10 training, CPR, and flagging certification 
  • You are able to operate a digger, a Derek truck
  • You are able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • You are able to work and climb up to 35 feet
  • You are able to read and understand work orders and CTV cable prints
  • You are able to work on call, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • You are comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • You have demonstrated leadership skills
