We are seeking a highly organized Telecommunications Project Administrator who understands telecommunications construction and can support project management, construction operations, recruiting, workforce coordination, and office administration. This is not a traditional administrative position. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced nature of aerial and underground fiber construction and enjoys supporting both field operations and recruiting efforts.
Position Summary
The Telecommunications Project Administrator provides administrative and operational support for telecommunications construction projects from project startup through closeout. This position works closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, field supervisors, recruiters, customers, vendors, and company leadership to maintain project documentation, coordinate field resources, support recruiting activities, and ensure construction operations remain organized and efficient.
Candidates with experience supporting OSP construction, ISP deployments, fiber optic projects, broadband infrastructure, utility construction, or telecommunications operations are strongly encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Operations with daily administrative activities
  • Create, organize, and maintain project files, production reports, work orders, schedules, and closeout documentation
  • Track labor reports, material usage, project milestones, customer documentation, and project deliverables
  • Support recruiting efforts by posting jobs, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and maintaining

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative, project coordination, or construction support experience
  • Experience supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, broadband, utility, CATV, or OSP construction projects
  • Understanding of aerial construction, underground construction, fiber optic deployment, ISP, OSP, and telecommunications terminology
  • Experience supporting Project Managers, Construction Managers, or field operations
  • Recruiting, staffing, onboarding, or workforce coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years supporting telecommunications construction operations
  • Experience with fiber optic construction, broadband deployment, ISP, OSP, CATV, or utility construction
  • Experience recruiting technicians, equipment operators, foremen, construction managers, linemen, fiber splicers, or field personnel
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruiting software, or HR platforms
  • Experience with project management or construction management software
  • QuickBooks, FileMaker, or database management experience
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Human Resources, or related field
  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Physical Requirements
This position requires prolonged sitting, computer use, telephone communication, filing, document management, and occasional lifting of office materials up to 25 pounds. Candidates must be able to support a fast-paced office environment while occasionally visiting active construction sites and interacting with field personnel. Occasional local travel may be required.
