Position Summary
The Fiber Optic Cable Puller/Blower is responsible for assisting the OSP crew to assure projects are completed in a safe and cost-effective manner, meeting customer deadlines. This position is responsible for assisting with on-site installation of both underground and aerial fiber optic cable.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with all facets of constructing fiber optic cable and/or strand to include digging, pulling and hanging fiber optic cable, duct or strand
  • Pull fiber through conduit, vaults and pedestals
  • Conform to Company and OSHA safety standards
  • Assist Foreman in ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner, meeting customer requirements
  • Drive trucks and equipment to job sites
  • Work outdoors in various types of weather
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Three or more years' experience in Cable construction is preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable
  • Class A CDL preferred
