Key Responsibilities
  • Operate fiber draw towers from a basket lift at different height levels to convert glass preforms into optical fiber
  • Monitor and control process parameters such as furnace temperature, draw speed, and tension
  • Perform real-time measurements of fiber diameter, coating concentricity
  • Apply fiber coatings and ensure proper UV curing
  • Conduct quality inspections in compliance with Coherent specifications
  • Handle and load preforms safely
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process deviations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on draw tower systems
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams for process improvements
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a precision environment
  • Ability to operate automated manufacturing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
