Job description

Position Summary  

We are hiring a Fiber Optic Laser Operator for an immediate opening to support high-volume metal fabrication operations. This role will work the 2nd shift and will train on the 1st shift prior to transition. The operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring fiber laser cutting equipment to produce precision parts that meet quality, safety, and production standards. Hands-on experience with industrial fiber laser systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate fiber optic laser cutting equipment, including job changeovers
  • Monitor laser performance to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, and production efficiency
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify parts meet specifications
  • Adjust machine parameters to maintain tolerances and minimize scrap
  • Complete production and quality documentation, including run data and inspection records
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment while supporting team production goals
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Hands-on experience operating fiber optic laser cutting equipment required
  • Experience with one or more of the following laser brands required: Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, Mazak (or similar industrial fiber laser systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with measurements, tolerances, and inspection tools
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety standards
Employment Type & Compensation
  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire 
  • Compensation: $18.00 per hour
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
Work Schedule
  • 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
