To thrive as a Fiber Copper Technician, you need a solid understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, cable installation, and troubleshooting, often supported by industry certifications like BICSI or FOA. Familiarity with specialized tools such as OTDRs, splicing machines, and network testing equipment is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills in this role. These competencies are crucial for ensuring reliable network performance, minimizing downtime, and delivering quality service to clients.
