Job Description Job Description Job Title: Facility Maintenance Location: Lancaster, TX Department: Operations / Maintenance Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Terminal Manager Position Summary The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of a temperature-controlled LTL warehouse facility. This role ensures all building systems, dock equipment, and material handling systems operate reliably to support time-sensitive freight in a climate-controlled environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on: Dock doors, levelers, seals, and restraints Electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems Concrete repairs, racking repairs/adjustments Miscellaneous building repairs Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs Maintain facility safety standards, including OSHA compliance and hazard prevention Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call situations as needed Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting Basic knowledge electrical, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions) Preferred: Experience in temperature-controlled or food-grade logistics environments Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Good communication and teamwork skills Time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Working Conditions Frequent exposure to cold and freezer environments (as low as -10°ree;F) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing) May require working nights, weekends, or overtime during peak periods Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
