Landscape Fertilizer & Pest Control Technician

Location: Greater Tampa Bay Area
Division: Fertilizer & Pest Control
Employment Type: Full-Time

Pine Lake Nursery & Landscape is a leading landscape company dedicated to creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor environments throughout the Tampa Bay area. As our Fertilizer & Pest Control Division continues to grow, we are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated technician to join our team and help deliver high-quality plant health care services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides to turf, shrubs, trees, and ornamental landscapes in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and treat turf and plant health issues, including nutrient deficiencies, insect infestations, weeds, and diseases.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate application equipment, including sprayers and spreaders.
  • Maintain accurate service records and treatment documentation.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and treatment plans with clients and internal team members.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Crew Leaders, and Operations teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and environmental compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape fertilization and pest control.
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, ornamental plant care, common landscape pests, and disease identification.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).
  • Florida Limited Commercial Fertilizer Applicator License and/or Florida Certified Pest Control Operator (CPCO) License preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
