Job description

Join the Midway Coop team as a Dry Fertilizer Applicator in Bellaire, KS!

As a Dry Fertilizer Applicator, you’ll work directly with area producers to safely and accurately apply fertilizer while providing the dependable service our customers expect from Midway Coop. This is a hands-on agricultural position that combines time in the field with grain elevator operations and other day-to-day duties at our Bellaire location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Safely and accurately apply dry fertilizer for area producers
  • Operate and maintain application equipment
  • Provide friendly, dependable customer service
  • Maintain accurate application and other required records
  • Receive and unload grain and assist with loading as needed
  • Perform routine housekeeping, equipment maintenance and general elevator duties
  • Follow safe work practices and all applicable safety procedures
  • Assist with other location operations when application work is not scheduled
  • Work as part of the Midway Coop team to serve our customers and communities

What We’re Looking For:

  • A dependable, safety-minded individual who enjoys hands-on agricultural work
  • Strong customer service, communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and maintain equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required applicator license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required CDL
  • Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders and work around grain and agricultural equipment
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
  • Agricultural or cooperative experience is preferred, but not required

This is a full-time position based at Midway Coop’s Bellaire location. The position generally works Monday through Saturday, with hours varying based on customer needs and seasonal demand. Longer days and additional hours should be expected during busy seasons.

Midway Coop is looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, serving producers, working safely and being part of a team committed to agriculture in north central Kansas.
