What is fertility software?

Fertility software refers to digital tools or applications designed to help individuals and couples track, monitor, and enhance their reproductive health. These platforms often allow users to log menstrual cycles, ovulation, symptoms, and other health data to predict fertile windows and support conception efforts. Some fertility software also integrates with wearable devices, offers educational resources, and gives access to telemedicine with fertility specialists. They can be valuable for those trying to conceive, managing reproductive health issues, or simply understanding their bodies better.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fertility software specialist?

To thrive as a Fertility Software Specialist, you need a solid background in healthcare informatics, reproductive medicine, and software implementation, often supported by a degree in health IT or a related field. Familiarity with fertility clinic management systems, EMRs specific to reproductive health, and data security certifications is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and training skills help you support clinical staff and streamline workflows. These abilities are crucial for ensuring accurate patient data management, regulatory compliance, and smooth adoption of technology in fertility practices.

What are some common challenges faced when working in a fertility software role, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals working in fertility software roles often encounter challenges such as integrating sensitive patient data with existing healthcare systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations like HIPAA, and adapting to rapidly evolving clinical protocols. To address these challenges, it's important to stay up-to-date with industry standards, collaborate closely with medical professionals to understand workflow needs, and participate in regular security and compliance training. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are vital for success in this fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job description

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team, reporting to the Director - Software Engineering. In this role, you'll help shape how we build innovative, client-facing solutions that power the institutional investing marketplace. You'll be working as a full-stack engineer, utilizing cutting-edge tools and frameworks like Vue.js, Net Core, MS SQL Server, AWS, and Terraform, in an agile scrum process. Your work will enable consultants and investors to make confident decisions worth billions of dollars. You'll fit right in if you're collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about technology - someone who enjoys tackling challenges that make an impact globally and who leverages modern AI tools to accelerate delivery.

What you'll do
  • Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions for both front-end and back-end.
  • Write production-ready code using C#, .NET/.NET Core, Vue.js, and relational databases like MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Build and maintain cloud-based microservices on AWS, managing infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Work closely with a global team to enhance development efficiency by automating build, test, and deployment workflows, ensuring rapid and reliable code integration and delivery.
  • Assist in reviewing code quality and troubleshooting issues to ensure reliable, maintainable solutions.
  • Explore and integrate various AI tools to enhance development workflows.
What you'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Strong skills in server-side programming (e.g., C#, Java) and modern front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular, React).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for provisioning and managing environments.
  • Experience with SQL databases (flexible across major relational systems).
  • Familiarity with common development tools and practices (version control, Visual Studio, Agile).
Nice to Have
  • AI-driven development: experience with prompt engineering, working with LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude), and familiarity with agentic workflows and RAG-based search.
  • Knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker), and DevOps tools (Jenkins).
  • Proficiency with automated testing frameworks (e.g., XUnit, Cypress) and experience validating AI models.
