Job description

SEASTREAK FAST PASSENGER FERRY COMPANY operates seasonally out of New Bedford, with services to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. If you are a friendly, energetic, dependable person than we have the job for you! We are seeking seasonal Full & Part Time Vessel Captains.

Desired Background:

  • 100 Ton Master’s license
  • TWIC
  • 1st Aid & CPR is helpful
  • Basic computer skills
  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of recent captain experience

Pre-employment background check and pre-employment and random drug testing required in accordance with Coast Guard regulations.


Captain/ Mate position aboard Seastreak's multiple Fast ferries. Routes include Providence to Newport, New Bedford to Martha's Vineyard, and New Bedford to Nantucket.

* Must hold a 100 ton masters license

* Experience as a Captain a plus

* Experience on high speed ferries a plus
