General Summary:

The position will soon be permanently based out of our brand-new West Richland office opening in July 2026 (located near Keene and Van Giesen). Key Emphases:
The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position supports the cooperative's financial health and contributes to strategic decision-making through timely and precise accounting practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.

Special Requirements:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience with annual organization-wide budget processes.
  • RUS and FERC accounting practices and principles.
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Strong team player.
  • Forward thinking, with a drive towards process improvement, efficiency, excellence.
  • Strong technical aptitude.

Compensation and Benefits:
