Job description

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is a world-famous brand with offices across the globeFender was born in Southern California and has built a worldwide influence beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender is more than an instrument; it's a cultural symbol that resonates globally.
We are currently searching for an exceptional Sander to join our team in Corona, CA. The Sander will work exclusively in the sanding pre/post paint production process. The Sander will be responsible for the sanding and semi-finishing of electric guitar bodies. Sanding will be done in an up/down motion and counterclockwise motion; more specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for manually sanding guitars, quality control of production, make very minor corrections to irregularities and cleanup of immediate work area.
Essential Functions:
  • Sand electric guitar and bass bodies using a variety of sandpaper grades in circular and up/down motions
  • Identify and correct minor surface irregularities using glue, filler, and sanding techniques
  • Follow detailed sanding procedures to meet quality finish standards
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing product for flaws or defects
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow throughout the sanding process
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Meet hourly production targets while ensuring quality control
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on process improvements or material issues
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in sanding, woodworking, carpentry, or a related manufacturing field preferred.
  • Experience in a production environment or finishing process strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
