Job description

Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader in Central Iowa seeking a full time Fence Installer.  We partner with a national home improvement chain, multiple home builders and general contractors for fence installation requirements. 


Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader with multiple branch locations across Florida.  We partner with a national home improvement chain, multiple home builders and general contractors for fence installation requirements.

Work consists of building all types of commercial and residential fencing including vinyl, aluminum, wood and chain-link.  Work hours are from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am - 12:00 pm, Fridays.


Responsibilities: 


  • Inspect trucks/trailers each morning to ensure that it is loaded safely and correctly per the job order.
  • Establish the location for the fence and gather information needed to ensure that there are no electric cables or utility lines in the area.
  • Install fence panels, gates, and posts according to Superior Fence & Rail standards
  • Measure and lay out fence lines according to fence job order and survey to ensure installed correctly on the customers property.
  • Use appropriate equipment in a safe and secure manner
  • Assist with warranty and repairs as needed
  • Attend all required safety and training sessions as scheduled
  • Unload and clean truck/trailer safely and correctly at the end of each day
  • Interacts with clients and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience:


  • Previous experience is desirable but not required - most skills can be taught on the job
  • Must be able to read plans, follow verbal instructions and obey applicable safety regulations
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to pass a background check (No felonies or sex offenses) and pass a drug screening
  • Ability to learn SFR policies and procedures
  • Candidate must have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
  • Candidate must be punctual and dependable
