Job description

SUMMARY
The Locker Room Coordinator at Evara Beach Spa is responsible for ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment within the spa. This role involves maintaining the spa facilities, assisting guests with their needs, and providing support to the spa team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.      Follow opening procedures to ensure that all robes, towels, beverages and amenities are ready and stocked in the locker rooms, relaxation area and total spa for our guest’s arrival.
2.      Pick up laundry from dispensary, rooms and hampers.  Stock all lockers and linen throughout the day.
3.      Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of prep room throughout the day.  Complete cleaning and organizational projects in the prep room as directed by The Director of Spa & Wellness 
4.      Fold linen and put away in linen storage room.  Ensure that storage room is well organized and clean.
5.      Sterilize all sandals, brushes, headsets and combs in accordance with sterilization procedures.
6.      Stock beverage station continuously throughout day and ensure the locker rooms and relaxation area are clean and organized.
7.      Stock towels, headsets and water in gym throughout the day.
8.      Follow all food handling and preparation procedures as documented by food handling training.  
9.      Follow closing procedures to ensure that all lockers are stocked for the next day and equipment is turned off.
10.   Assist providers with changing of treatment rooms for the next guest when needed.
11.   Monitor inventory of supplies throughout the month and report any items that are running low to The Director of Spa Operations.
12.   Assist the Asst Director of Spa & Wellness with monthly prep room inventory as needed and directed
13.   Continually strive to improve Spa Attendant procedures, protocols, and efficiency by creating and implementing new systems.
14.   Follow-up with Asst. Director of Spa & Wellness on all comments, concerns and suggestions made by staff members and resort guests.
15.   Assist with arranging beach chairs, umbrellas, and setting up the terraces for guest use.
16.   Assist with setting up the cabanas and maintaining the spa garden
17.   Perform and assist with laundry duties as needed, including operating washers and dryers, washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing robes, towels, and linens throughout the spa. Maintain the laundry and linen areas in a clean, organized, and efficient manner.
18.   Report to work in appropriate uniform, on time, and well-groomed according to guidelines.
19.   Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
20.   Available to work holidays, weekends and evenings as needed.
21.   Model and reinforce all standards and policies.
22.   Maintain helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers.
23.   Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned 
 
 QUALIFICATIONS
Required
1.      Previous customer service and or spa experience.
2.      High School diploma or equivalent.
3.      Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents, such as aromatherapy candles.

1.      Ability to communicate in basic English, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers and management.
2.      Ability to multitask.
3.      Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of all guest and resort information.
4.      Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, think clearly and follow up.

6.      Ability to remain calm under pressure.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.      Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.  Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.  
2.      Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity. 
3.      Need to stand for long periods of time.   
4.      Lifting/carrying up to 15 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
5.      Vision requirements: constant need to view small print.  Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms’ reach.
6.      Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
7.      Ability to work in high heat and cold temperatures. 
 
SANITIATION/CLEANING:
  1. Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the locker room in-between guest to include sinks, equipment, counters, door handles, products used etc. as referred to in sanitation checklist by area. 
  2. Proper disposal of all linens used 
  3. Proper disposal in covered receptacle of all single use items 
  4. Proper sterilization of all implements used on guest  
  5. Frequent cleaning of toilets, mirrors, counters, sinks, floors, door, handles etc. as referred to in cleaning checklist.  Areas to be checked and maintained hourly. 
  6. Frequent cleaning of relaxation areas.
