Job description

Penn Line Energy T&D, Inc. is seeking candidates for an Electrician. Below are the requirements of the job:
Training
  • Must have attended and successfully completed electrician training (NFPA 70E, NEC, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, etc.).
  • OSHA 10 Card (or equivalent)
  • Digger Derrick
  • Track Bucket
  • Rigging
  • Wood Pole Climbing Certificate (preferred)
  • Aerial Bucket
  • Track Digger
  • Wire Stringing Equipment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industrial electrician experience.

Physical Demands
  • Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Work outdoors.
  • Climb steel towers.
  • Climb wood poles.
  • Climb other structures.
  • Work in inclement weather.
  • Work in high and low temperatures.
  • Work off of ladders.
  • Work at heights up to 100' or more.
  • Assist with working in confined spaces.

Leadership
  • Work safely.
  • Follow directions as required.
  • Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Install, modify, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical hardware, instruments, and systems.
  • Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devises such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems on various jobsites.
  • Correctly identify wire colors, including shades and brightness, to splice, join, and connect wires to fixtures and components
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and work effectively with others.
  • Must be self-motivated, team-focused, and customer-focused.

Travel and Work Schedule
  • A company vehicle will be furnished to travel to work sites primarily located in northern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania.
  • Work schedules may be either four ten-hour days or five ten-hour days.
  • Must work overtime as required.
  • Must respond to storm restoration work and call-outs, as required. This work may require individuals to be away from home on an extended basis.
  • Regular work per diem greater than 60 miles away from home.
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
