Job description

Metro Services is looking to hire Forklift Operators for a company in Tipton, IN. This is a temp-to-hire position. Apply Now!

Duties for this position include:

  • Unloading, unpacking, and inspecting incoming shipments for damage or defects
  • Verifying the accuracy of the products against packing lists, purchase orders, or delivery notes
  • Storing materials and restocking shelves
  • Preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area
  • Processing and loading orders to complete shipments
  • Maintaining related records and files as assigned
  • Operating a variety of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and dollies
  • Identifying any irregularities that are not compliant with work instructions and control plans regarding the work environment, production process, raw materials, and the quality of semi-finished products
  • Inspecting the equipment according to the equipment features inspection guide
  • Working in a team environment and effectively communicating throughout the organization
  • Ensuring strict compliance with quality and safety regulations and standards

Compensation (USD):

$17.50/hour

Schedule:

2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Some Overtime Might be Required

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Flexible with work schedule, working OT when needed
  • Work in hot and cold environments
  • Wear all safety equipment including safety glasses, sleeve protectors, earplugs,

  • Work in tight or closed spaces
  • Must have at least 1 year experience
