Description

Responsible for delivery of feed loads to various farm locations while ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations pertaining to commercial transportation. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
  • Inspects Truck prior to usage
  • Inspect fire extinguisher, and other safety equipment is aboard and in working order.
  • Verifies load against shipping papers.
  • Ensure that cargo is secure 
  • Maintains an alert posture to prevent accidents. 
  • Loading and Unloading bulk feed 
  • Climbing feed bins
  • Cleaning up any spilled feed
  • Maintaining accurate internal and DOT paperwork according to state and federal regulations. 
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
  • Work with production staff with needs

*Includes additional potential to haul livestock if desired and qualified. 

Requirements

  • Must have valid CDL 
  • Satisfactory MVR

*TQA certification (for livestock only)
