Role: Lead Warehouse Associate

Reports to: Distribution & Logistics Director

FLSA: Non-Exempt

You will play a key role in supporting the team by ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Additionally, you will foster a positive work environment for our team, promoting collaboration and excellence in all warehouse operations.


The Warehouse Lead supports Distribution Center operations, including receiving, stocking, packing, and shipping products. This role may also oversee the fleet driver to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. The Warehouse Lead provides day-to-day leadership, training, and directions to team members to meet and exceed performance (KPI’s) and safety standards while aligning with company values. When you are not directly acting as the Warehouse Lead, you will work with the Warehouse team to continue to meet customer needs by picking, packing, shipping, loading and unloading trucks.


What will you do:

  • Organize and prepare items for shipment and receiving in accordance with Distribution Center standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead daily warehouse operations by providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to procedures
  • Oversee order fulfillment activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and completion of required documentation, including hazardous materials handling
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage, tracking, and cycle count practices
  • Monitor operational performance and generate regular reports on productivity, accuracy, and service levels
  • Analyze data to identify trends, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to established standards
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing and engaged workforce
Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in a stockroom or warehouse setting, with some prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Forklift certification is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held
  • Proficiency with computers and scanning equipment is preferred; knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong desire to work as part of a team, with the ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work efficiently within deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be proficient to operate a forklift, clamp devise, pallet jack, overhead crane devise and maintain OSHA forklift certification
  • Frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Walk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently bend and stoop to pick up packages
  • Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment
  • The role primarily requires prolonged standing and continuous movement throughout the work shift
  • Employees are required to wear steel-toed safety shoes and any additional personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
  • Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and may involve exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season
