Role: Sr. Warehouse Associate

Reports to: Director, Distribution & Logistics

FLSA: Non-Exempt

What will you do:

  • Assist in training and mentoring new associates, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to operational standards
  • Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions
  • Process customer orders daily to meet customer expectations efficiently and accurately
  • Assist with proper storage and organization of products
  • Assist with inventory audits/cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Ensure all products are packaged and labeled correctly according to standard operating procedures, including completing necessary documentation for hazardous materials
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, actively promoting a safe working environment for all team members
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and enhance productivity, ensuring a positive work experience for everyone
  • Identify areas for process improvement, root cause issues, and participate in initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and efficiency
  • Hazardous materials (HazMat) certification or willingness to obtain (training provided)
  • Complete local delivery routes as needed, including loading products, safely operating a delivery vehicle, delivering packages up to 60lbs, and interacting with customers in a professional manner while complying with all transportation laws and regulations
  • Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment as needed to move, stage, load, and unload materials.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with peers and direct leadership



Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a stockroom or warehouse is required
  • Forklift certification is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held
  • Familiarity with FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectively
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Basic proficiency with computers and scanning equipment preferred, familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Teams
  • Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Works efficiently within deadlines


Physical Requirements:

Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, clamp devise, pallet jack, overhead crane devise and maintain OSHA forklift certification
  • Walk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently bend and stoop to pick up packages
  • Safely and efficiently operate a large delivery van
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions
  • Adhere to assigned delivery routes and follow time schedules
  • Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment
  • The role primarily requires prolonged standing and continuous movement throughout the work shift
