Job description

FedEx Trade Networks manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. This position is responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements. Interacts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, as required. Prepares, controls, updates, and distributes all required documents regarding consolidation and deconsolidation of freight at gateway level complying with regulations and internal procedures.

Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.

Schedules and monitors handling of incoming and outgoing consolidations and or shipments, and disposition of consolidations.

Ensures follow up with airlines to ensure consolidations fly as booked.

Assists gateway supervisor in distribution of work

Follows up with feeder stations to ensure timeliness of delivery and compliance with regulations.

Acts as gateway subject matter expert and trains employees on gateways procedures

Ensures updated consolidation schedules are updated

Maximizes margin through effective Unit Load Devise (ULD) build-up

Ensures continuous process improvement to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers

Processes air export consolidations

Works closely with other departments/gateways to deliver high level of service to customer

Liaison with all related vendors to ensure highest level of service is achieved

Resolves billing issues between FedEx Trade Networks and airline partners.

Negotiates spot rates with airline partners

Performs other duties as assigned.


High school diploma/equivalent. Three (3) related experience required.

Knowledge of US Export Regulations, ports and world geography required. Experience with and usage of Official Airline Guide (OAG) and The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT) Act required. Working knowledge of gateway/warehouse operations required. Certified to process Dangerous Goods shipments for Air Transport required. Strong analytical/math skills required.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
