Job description

Route 119 Trucking, a leading FedEx Ground Contractor at the Terre Haute facility, is looking for a reliable Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our medium-sized team of 6-15 drivers. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently transport goods using box trucks or vans, ensuring timely deliveries and outstanding customer service. This role demands adherence to safety protocols, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Operate box trucks or vans to deliver products to designated locations
  • Navigate established routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Manage delivery documentation, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding schedules and issues
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain physical stamina to lift heavy items safely and handle delivery tasks
  • Collaborate within a team environment and demonstrate strong time management

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Clean background check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely, or 150 pounds with a dolly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and DOT screening
  • DOT medical card (provided at drug screening)
  • Positive, "get it done" attitude with good attendance
  • Weekend availability

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • For Hire endorsement (assistance provided upon hire)
  • Proficient in route navigation and vehicle inspection
  • Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
