TERNES Packaging Indiana, Inc.
Job Description
TERNES Packaging Indiana, Inc. is currently looking to fill an immediate Shipping Analyst position for our Indianapolis based manufacturing client Allison Transmission, Inc (ATI). This position will provide clerical and administrative support to ATI at their main shipping dock located at Ryder Integrated Logistics, 7290 Winton Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
Scope of Work
TERNES Packaging Indiana, Inc. is a contracted service provider to ATI. In this position the TERNES Shipping Analyst will work to organize and process the shipment of materials out of the main ATI manufacturing location. The main functions of this position include:
  • Prepare paperwork for daily shipments using SAP
  • Communicate with Ryder Dock Employees to coordinate loads
  • Schedule freight pick-ups with carriers
  • Utilizing FedEx and UPS websites to create shipping labels
  • Processing International shipments (Commodity Codes/Country of Origin)
  • Create Customs Documents
  • Check drivers In/Out
  • General Office Duties
This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task oriented work environment. Ideal candidate will need to be a quick learner, have reliable attendance, and ability to work as a team member or individually.
Standard work hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Early, late and weekend overtime hours are to be expected.
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements
This is an entry-level position that requires a high school diploma or GED. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of work experience in an office or administrative capacity. Skills required are typing, data entry, filing, and form completion. Programs used include SAP, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word/Exel), and the Internet.
