Job Summary
This position is located onsite at our Vincent, AL Warehouse.
The Shipping Clerk compiles and maintains finished product inventory and shipping records in the global shop system. Arranges for transport of finished product according to requirements established by sales service personnel. Maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and annual shipping reports in spreadsheet format for sales and accounting purposes. Serves as backup to department material handler operating material handling equipment as needed. Assists with physical inventory activities. Maintains housekeeping in the work area.
Essential Job Function
  • Shipment Coordination - Arrange transportation for outgoing shipments according to established requirements.
  • Attendance - Report to work regularly and on time.
  • Data Entry - Enter inventory and shipping information into computer systems.
  • Physical Inventory - Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Material Handling - Operate material-handling equipment as needed to support department workflow.
  • Attendance - Report to work regularly and on time.
  • Ability to operate a stand-up forklift.

Job Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.
  • At least 6 months experience as a shipping clerk, shipping through Fed-EX & UPS.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations, including decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to read methods and procedures and write reports in proper format.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including mainframe data entry, basic spreadsheet use, and word processing.

  • Shipment Accuracy - Accurate and timely shipment and storage of finished product to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Safety & Compliance - Work performed in accordance with company work and safety regulations.
