Job Summary
Performs various routine clerical duties according to established office procedures.
**Please note that you must be a TCC student with federal work study funds to be eligible for this position.
The Student Life Social Media Assistant supports campus engagement by creating dynamic, student-centered digital content across multiple campus. This position serves as a "student influencer," helping showcase campus life, student experiences, and events through creative storytelling and current social media trends.
Essential Duties
Create and publish engaging content (videos, photos, stories, reels, and posts) for Student Life social media platforms Capture authentic student experiences across multiple campus locations Stay current with social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies Conduct brief, on-the-spot student interviews and highlight student voices Assist in promoting Student Life programs, events, and services Maintain a consistent posting schedule and support content planning Collaborate with Student Life staff to align messaging and branding
Minimum Qualifications
One-year clerical training or experience.
Accurate typing.
Experience with desktop computers, including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is desirable.
Ability to organize daily work procedures and perform duties under one's own initiative.
Excellent oral and written communication skill; ability to interact effectively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) Ability to record and edit short-form video content using a smartphone or basic tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable approaching and interacting with fellow students Creative, outgoing, and interested in storytelling Organized and dependable.
No advanced experience required-students who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship will be provided in social media content creation, video production, and digital engagement strategies.
