Job description

YOUR TASKS:

  • Design of new network infrastructures in an open-source environment, mainly based on virtualized environments.
  • Development, planning and improvement of OT security processes and vulnerability management in wind farms.
  • Planning of implementation of network concepts and network zones.
  • Hardening of software and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
  • Participation in projects and 3rd level support, especially for large and complex wind farms around the world up to 1.21 GW.
  • Support in global software deployment and build automation using Azure DevOps.
  • Coordination with 1st and 2nd level support.
  • Troubleshooting for the responsible applications.
  • Creation and update of the related software documentation for the 1st and 2nd level support.
  • Close cooperation with various departments in an international environment.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • A degree in computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification with significant hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems such as Linux and Windows, as well as Java Uses
  • Experience with PowerShell and databases.
  • Analytical thinking and logical understanding of complex issues and system architectures
  • Sound knowledge of firewalls, routers, protocols.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and devices such as stateful firewall, IPS, VPN, IPSec, SSL/TLS and L2 security.
  • English (very good written and spoken). Ideally skills in Spanish and German.
  • Organized person. Willingness to learn new technologies. Strong initiative and hands-on mentality. Strong communication and teamwork skills coupled with intercultural competence.
  • Minimum work experience of 2 years.
  • Availability to travel
