Job description

About the role
As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading the successful delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives, including data center builds, cloud migrations, network upgrades, server and storage deployments, and disaster recovery programs. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team working collaboratively with the Senior Manager.
In this role, you will
• Own end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects including data center builds, cloud migrations, network upgrades, server and storage implementations, and DR/BCP initiatives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, security, procurement, operations, and external vendors.
• Develop project plans, status reports, governance materials, and executive-level updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks to ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure infrastructure projects align with organizational standards, compliance requirements, and operational objectives.
• Drive project governance, resource planning, and change management activities.
• Facilitate project meetings and maintain effective communication with business and technical stakeholders.
Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What you need to have to be considered
• 8 or more years of experience managing infrastructure-related projects in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience delivering data center, network, server, storage, or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies including data center operations, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, vendors, and stakeholder expectations.
• PMP certification required.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
These will help you stand out
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration programs.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives.
• Knowledge of infrastructure governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working in highly matrixed enterprise environments with global teams.
• Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
