Position Overview

This position is intended to be a member of the engineering team, developing software for medical information products.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design and implement product features from internal and external customer requirements and clinical feedback.
  • Apply standard technologies to software design, implementation, and testing.
  • Work closely with other team members to coordinate assignments and communicate progress and/or difficulties.
  • Investigate and resolve complex runtime software issues received from varying sources in a timely manner.
  • Understand requirements both from user’s perspective and technical details.
  • Manage personal project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Developing new and maintaining existing code and design.
  • Providing input, solutions, and recommendations.
  • Participate in design and code reviews and understand and enforce the importance of coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting complex problems.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

  • BS degree or higher in a scientific, engineering, or clinical field, not required.
  • 5+ years of proven corporate/technical lead training experience.
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching.
  • Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset.
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Organizational and time management abilities.
  • Critical thinking and decision making.
  • Certified training certificate is a plus.

Experience with:

  • Object Oriented Design and Implementation, using .NET Technologies
  • Thorough understanding of Model View Controller (MVC) and Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture patterns
  • Repository and Singleton design patternsClient technologies for creating Responsive Web Design.
  • Entity Relationship Modeling and Principles of Relational Database
  • Agile/SCRUM work practices

Physical requirements

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
