Job description

Position Summary

This position reports to the Assitant Corporate Controller and is located in Franklin, TN.  The Senior Financial Analyst will work across all groups/divisions with the objective of collecting and compiling reports, data and supporting documents to review the financial performance and productivity of each division and their corresponding business units. The ideal individual will have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Many of these duties will involve interfacing varying levels of management, including executives and will require a high degree of professionalism, tact, sensitivity, initiative and diplomacy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned financial studies and surveys to collect, summarize and analyze the financial results of operational activities.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends and making recommendations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain reports to support the organization accounting function as required.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Lead or assist on special projects as assigned by division management or general accounting.
  • Analyze and coordinate consolidation process for YLA subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate in monthly analysis of results.
  • Review monthly financial reports prepared by accounting department and identify reasons for variances.
  • Analyze trends in accounting/financial data and make recommendations to capitalize on positive trends or reverse negative trends.
  • Support groups/divisions in improving quality of financial data.
  • Collect, consolidate and organize documents and data required for financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
  • Trend analysis of corporate overhead expenses and investigate fluctuations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, compliance, accounting or other related field.
  • Strong Excel skills are required. Working knowledge of operational ERP systems required.
  • Experience in financial analysis and/or accounting for logistics operations preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Power BI is highly desirable.

  • Review and analyze data and information concerning the operating results.
  • Plan, prioritize and monitor key performance indicators/activities.

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
