Experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our Hawthorne team.

What You'll Do
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you'll perform inspections, testing, and documentation of fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local code requirements.
Responsibilities include:
  • Inspecting fire sprinkler systems and related life safety equipment
  • Identifying deficiencies and communicating findings with customers
  • Completing electronic inspection reports accurately and on time
  • Maintaining inspection equipment and company vehicle
  • Managing daily schedules using company technology platforms
  • Staying current on NFPA standards, code requirements, and industry best practices
  • Participating in company and manufacturer training programs

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the fire protection industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently after training
Preferred Certifications
  • NICET Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • FDNY Certificate of Fitness
  • Nassau County Type 2, S12, and S13 Certifications
  • Fire Pump, Backflow, or other related certifications
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in commercial, industrial, and residential environments
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent walking, stair climbing, and standing throughout the day
  • Travel between customer locations, with occasional overnight travel
