Job description

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Atlanta Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and will be directing the supervisory efforts for the most complex financial institutions.

Qualifications:

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here.

CG-15: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as directing a segment of a region's supervisory program including assessing risk posed by large or complex financial institutions; analyzing reports of examinations, applications, and investigations; and preparing summaries of findings, memoranda, and recommendations for banking regulators, financial institutions, or holding companies.

Applicant must be a commissioned examiner in the FDIC.

Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
