Job description

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search, a Hispanic Women Owned & Operated National Recruiting Firm stands at the forefront of innovation and excellence. Led by a visionary team with a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, our firm is dedicated to identifying and attracting top talent across the nation. With a unique blend of cultural insight and professional expertise, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that fosters success for both employers and candidates.

Our client, a global consumer brand, is seeking a Marketing Compliance Specialist to join their Marketing organization as an embedded Legal liaison. This is a hands-on, high-visibility contract role for a candidate who can move fluidly between creative teams and legal oversight โ€” reviewing marketing materials for regulatory and risk exposure while keeping campaigns moving.

This is a fully onsite position based in Boca Raton, FL. Onsite presence is a firm requirement and is not negotiable.

Engagement Details

  • Duration: Approximately six months, structured on a quarterly basis, running through the end of 2026
  • Location: Onsite, Boca Raton, FL office
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Level: Open to either an experienced paralegal or a mid-level attorney โ€” budget is the primary driver, not title. Paralegal candidates should ideally bring prior hands-on compliance review experience, though the right candidate can be trained.

Core Responsibilities

Review and compliance-clear marketing creative and promotional materials against internal brand guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements, including:

  • Press release copy
  • Sweepstakes and promotions, including official rules and state registration
  • Creative copy
  • Audiovisual commercials and commercial storyboards
  • Creative decks
  • Website copy and imagery
  • Point-of-sale materials and sell sheets

The individual will assess assets primarily against U.S. advertising and promotions requirements (with some Canadian review as needed), flag claims and disclosure risk, and serve as the day-to-day compliance point of contact embedded within Marketing โ€” escalating to Legal as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in marketing compliance review
  • Familiarity with FTC advertising standards and FDA guidelines as they relate to food and beverage marketing
  • Beverage industry background strongly preferred
  • Comfortable operating within a marketing team while reporting into and under the oversight of Legal
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to manage competing priorities under deadline pressure
