What is an FC?

An FC, or Fulfillment Center, is a large warehouse facility used by companies like Amazon and other e-commerce businesses to store products, process orders, and ship goods directly to customers. Employees working at an FC are responsible for receiving inventory, picking and packing items, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. FCs play a crucial role in the supply chain by enabling fast and efficient delivery of products ordered online.

How does an FC associate typically interact with other teams within the warehouse environment?

As an FC associate, you will regularly collaborate with multiple teams such as inventory management, packing, shipping, and quality control to ensure smooth and timely order processing. Communication and teamwork are essential, as many tasks—like restocking shelves or troubleshooting order discrepancies—require coordination with other departments. This collaborative environment helps maintain efficiency and accuracy throughout the fulfillment process, and also provides valuable cross-training opportunities for career growth within the warehouse.
