Position Summary

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for leading all back-of-house culinary operations while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and team development. This role partners closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership to drive operational excellence, manage costs, and cultivate a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

We're looking for a passionate culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences through exceptional food and teamwork.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and inspire the culinary team through coaching, training, and daily development.

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution and presentation.

  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.

  • Manage labor, food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste to achieve financial goals.

  • Execute recipes and systems with consistency while maintaining culinary excellence.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and company standards.

  • Collaborate with leadership on menu execution, seasonal features, and operational initiatives.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop future culinary leaders.

  • Promote a safe and respectful workplace for all team members.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, labor management, and inventory control.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Passion for scratch cooking, quality ingredients, and hospitality.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

  • Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
