Job description

Job Description Summary:

A Fatburger Team Member is responsible for a variety of tasks, including food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. They may be involved in tasks like taking orders, operating the cash register, prepping ingredients, cooking food, and cleaning the dining area. 

As a Team Member, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, provide exceptional service, and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, and ensuring a positive customer experience. 
  • Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the POS system.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to company standards.
  • Upsell additional items or promotions to increase sales.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawers.
  • Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Assisting with food preparation tasks, including assembling burgers, fries, and other menu items.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including cleaning tables, restrooms, and other areas.
  • Assisting with stocking and restocking supplies, ensuring adequate quantities of ingredients and supplies are available.
  • Helping other team members with their tasks, as needed, to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Adhering to safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handwashing and food handling procedures.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food preparation, customer service, and safety. 

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • High School Diploma – GED minimum required.
  • Food Handlers, TABC Certification required.
  • Prior experience in food service or customer service is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in retail math for cash handling and transactions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
  • Culinary skills for food preparation and presentation
  • Willingness to help out in various areas of the restaurant as needed
  • Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing
  • Basic understanding of sales techniques for upselling opportunities

Physical Demands: This position may require long hours traveling to each location including evenings and weekends.
