We're hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Inspector Level 2 position in Phoenix, AZ. This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting the first shift. This is a part-time or Full - time position. The compensation range for this position is $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must be available to travel to California for a one-week training program. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the company.
Responsibilities
  • Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing
  • (e.g., nickel plating)
  • FAI, PO, COC and process certification documents
  • In-process and/or final inspection of critical features, including witness inspection
  • (e.g., CMM program run)
  • Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet or inspection package
  • Verification that the inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of
  • detecting defects.
  • Verification that the inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Review and validation of justification for any part not inspected at final inspection.
  • Assure products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing, and of acceptable contour
  • and waviness.
  • Assured products are of good workmanship and within specified workmanship
  • standards (e.g., oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts,
  • scratches, dings, burrs, fastener edge distance, etc.)
  • Verifying all visible part finishes, paint, and skin quality are acceptable to the
  • required visual standards.
  • Verify hardware cleanliness and absence of internal or external foreign object
  • debris.
  • Verify safety wire has been applied in a negative pull orientation, the correct number
  • of turns, and pigtails are tucked in according to specification requirements.
  • Verify fasteners are properly installed; assure the torque stripe is continuous from
  • the head to the surface and of the correct color

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with electro-mechanical parts inspection.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity
  • standards.
  • Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions (tolerances โ‰ฅ.005") using hand tools
  • (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
  • Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.
  • Must be ITAR compliant.

$30 - $35 an hour
50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed.
