We are looking for a Senior Engineering Lead who is not only an exceptional coder but also adept at high-level design and implementation. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of collaborative development experience, with a proven track record of leading an 8-10 person team. This role involves debugging, performance design and optimization, and working on containerized solutions using Docker. Experience with FastAPI, Python, and React front-end is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor an 8-10 person engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Design, implement, and optimize high-performance applications.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Python and React.
  • Utilize FastAPI for building robust and efficient APIs.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of containerized solutions using Docker.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an engineering team.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI.
  • Solid experience with React for front-end development.
  • Expertise in high-level design, implementation, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized solutions.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,200-292,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
