Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Toronto / Ontario, Canada (Onsite/Hybrid)

Experience: 7+ Years


Role Overview

We are seeking a senior OTL Techno-Functional Consultant with strong hands-on implementation expertise to lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) solutions. This is an onsite role based in the Toronto, Ontario area.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-lifecycle OTL implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Write, customize, and troubleshoot complex Fast Formulas for time calculation, shift differential, premium pay, and rule-based validation logic.
  • Configure OTL elements, repeating periods, work schedules, timecard layouts, approval styles, and integration rules with Oracle Payroll and Absences.
  • Serve as the functional and technical subject matter expert (SME) to bridge business HR/Payroll requirements with technical architecture.
  • Build and maintain integrations between OTL and third-party systems or upstream/downstream Oracle modules.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), end-user training, and post-go-live hypercare support.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 7 to 8 years of dedicated techno-functional experience in Oracle Time & Labor (OTL).
  • Implementation Track Record: Direct involvement in at least 2 to 3 full-cycle OTL implementations.
  • Fast Formula Expertise: Deep technical hands-on experience crafting and optimizing custom Fast Formulas for complex labor rules.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of Oracle HCM data models, PL/SQL, database structures, and workflow configurations related to time tracking.
  • Work Arrangement: Must be available to work fully onsite in Toronto/Ontario, Canada.
