The Position: We are seeking a strategic Tax Director / Senior Tax Manager with the experience, leadership presence, and technical acumen to step into a Partner Fast-Track role. This individual will lead client engagements, oversee high-level reviews, mentor staff, and play a pivotal role in the firm’s growth initiatives. Ideal candidates bring strong generalist tax expertise, proven management experience, and a desire to influence firmwide direction.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and review complex tax engagements for individuals, HNW clients, partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and pass-through entities.
  • Manage client relationships, provide strategic tax planning, and deliver high-level consulting throughout the year.
  • Oversee and mentor staff, seniors, and managers; support recruiting and team development efforts.
  • Review workpapers, returns, and technical positions with exceptional accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical resource on complex tax matters and emerging regulations.
  • Drive process improvements, contribute to firm initiatives, and support departmental leadership.
  • (Director-level) Participate in business development, marketing initiatives, networking, and growth strategy.


What You Need (Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • MSA, MST, or equivalent advanced tax degree preferred.
  • Strong generalist background: HNW individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, pass-throughs.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a Manager, Senior Manager, or Director role leading teams and client engagements.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with complex reviews and tax research.
  • Experience with leadership initiatives, internal operations, or departmental oversight.
  • Director-level: Business development, marketing, and firmwide leadership experience strongly preferred (required for Partner Fast-Track consideration).
